Course schedule
The PADI Open Water course in Hurghada consists of theory, shallow water exercises, and open sea dives. Each day brings you one step closer to your goal: being able to dive independently and earning your Open Water diving certification.
Day 1
The first day begins on land with a short introduction to theory, safety, and equipment handling. Afterwards, you'll head to shallow water where you'll practice basic skills: breathing, buoyancy control, mask cleaning, and initial underwater movements. This day will prepare you for dives in the open sea.
Day 2
On the second day, you'll head out onto the boat for the first time. You'll complete two open water dives, where you'll repeat basic exercises and get used to the open ocean environment. Your instructor will guide you step by step to ensure you feel confident and solidify the fundamentals.
Day 3
The third day starts again on the boat. You'll do your third Open Water dive, further developing your skills and learning to move in the water in a controlled and relaxed manner. In between dives, you'll discuss theory questions or topics you'd like to explore in more depth with your instructor.
Day 4
On the last day, you'll complete your fourth Open Water dive. You'll put all the skills you've learned during the course into practice. After the final dive, your instructor will review your performance and discuss any remaining points with you.
If you meet all the requirements, you will receive your internationally recognized PADI Open Water certificate.
